Engineering Project Manager
Company:
Global and renowned First Tier Automotive Manufacturer operating from a Midlands based site in the UK. In operation now for over 50 years and continued growth has generated a requirement for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to support their NPI activities within their high volume BIW environment.
Role responsibilities:
- Ensure successful delivery of all NPI projects from conception to volume production
- Establish best practice engineering for the UK facility
- Create common approach for NPI within the plant to ensure production demands are met
- Project manage all new program activities from concept through to prototype and production within a pressed, welded and assembly environment.
Key skills and experience:
- Strong and positive team leadership qualities
- Proven track record of NPI project delivery within 1st Tier Automotive in BIW / Pressed Assemblies
- Deep understanding of lean principles and visual management
- Experience of modern processes to include automation assembly and robotic welding processes.
- High level of exposure within the delivery of key automotive projects for OEM's to include JLR, Toyota, Honda and BMW
- Second language such as German and / or Spanish would be advantageous but not essential
