Programme Manager New Product Development

£28.20 - 28.20 per hour
Project Manager. The Programme Office is responsible for the programme management of new product development.
The office is part of the PD Operations group, and additionally reports to the Chief Programme Engineer.
This role will be responsible for future model development, predominantly leadership of elements of model year programmes and "leading the team through the next Gateway with quality".
- Be wholly responsible for leadership of the assigned project(s) and their delivery
- Define the product and key assumptions
- Manage change and product delivery using GPDS principles
- Monitor and measure progress using approved metrics.
- Prepare papers and presentation materials, and present to senior management
- Champion initiatives to improve quality, and reduce costs
There is a great opportunity to work in the business for in excess of two years pending strong performance on leading this programme
Skills Required:
Demonstrate team leadership in the resolution of business, technical and process issues. Good communicator with excellent and inter-personal and influencing skills, self-confidence, and a "passion for the product". Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Excellent computer and IT skills, and fluent in Power Point and Excel. Good level of financial awareness
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of the product development process and Client's Global Product Development System principles Good working knowledge of Product Definition and Change Management processes
Experience Required:
Proven skills in Body and Trim Engineering. Experience of engineering Convertible automotive product will be a positive benefit.
Experience of project and/or supplier management, meeting demanding timescales, budget control and cost effective delivery.
Prior experience within Project Management, Core engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or New Product Launch
Education Required:
Applicants should be qualified to degree level
