Exciting opportunity with this world leading Defence organisation. The role is commutable from Hatfield, Hitchin, Luton, Stevenage and Biggleswade.

You will be responsible for the Day to Day management of Support Contracts (UK and Export Contracts) with the purpose of maximizing profitability for existing business
Accountabilities

1.Business Strategy
Support the implementation of Commercial strategies to deliver maximum business advantage

2.Business Winning
In Conjunction with the nominated Business Winning Managers, to ensure the smooth transition of new business into current business. May be required to assist in business winning activities from time to time.

3.Contract Delivery
-Work closely with all areas of the various Support Project Teams
-Ensure that Contractual obligations are communicated and understood
-Negotiating and agreeing amendments to Contract
-Drafting, writing and responding to day to day communication from Customers
-Support the progressing of contract payments
-Liaising with the Commercial Customer on a day to day basis

4.Process Improvement
Support the implementation of improved commercial processes, share best practice.

5.Problem Solving Challenges
Managing and maintaining Contracts with differing Customers

Performance Indicators
-Effective implementation of commercial strategy on a day to day basis and the identification of business opportunities
-Ensuring timely achievement of commercially robust amendments to Contract
-Proven understanding and knowledge of Contract obligations
-Good working relationships with Customer, industrial partners and all areas of the internal Project Teams.

Skills and Knowledge
-Negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
-Experience working on Defence contracts in a Contracts Officer or Commercial Officer role
-Experience of managing low value contracts
-Effective influencing and team working skills
-Experienced in a range of commercial issues and skills including contract management skills throughout the contract lifecycle
