CAE Engineer

£29 per hour
Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire.
Due to an increase in the workload, they are currently seeking to recruit a CAE Engineer on an initial 6 month contract basis, responsible for providing analysis of structural response and system performance during impact, predominantly using LS-Dyna. Initially working on optimisation of structures and material modelling.
Reporting to the CAE Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for the following:
- Delivery of FE model results quickly with minimal supervision.
- Able to produce high quality LS-Dyna FE models with little re-work.
- Interpretation of results is required in order to guide project direction with clear presentation to the project team.
- Material modelling from first principles is required to accurately predict the performance of metallic and composite.
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience as a CAE analyst using LS-Dyna.
- Pedestrian Protection and/or vehicle Crash simulation experience.
- Model correlation, results interpretation experience
Preferred Experience:
- Up to 2 years experience using LS-Dyna.
- Detailed knowledge or optimisation simulation methods.
Ideally, the candidate is likely to already be working as a CAE Contractor at an Automotive OEM or Tier 1
