A Durability & Reliability PAT Leader is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Description
Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
The position is to support the Durability & Reliability PAT (attribute) leader who has the responsibility for the management and delivery of the Durability & Reliability attribute. This includes:- Cascading of the D&R requirements into Chassis, Body, Powertrain & Electrical including target agreement -Test planning & management -Results and issue management including root cause analysis and resolution Attribute report out in support of project milestones.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Good knowledge of Automotive Technologies and vehicle testing including the principles of Verification and Validation. General understanding Automotive Vehicle systems and a practical knowledge of motor vehicles. Ability to manage a cross functional meeting in support of the PAT (test planning, problem root cause analysis and resolution). Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of test laboratory structural rig testing. Knowledge of vehicle proving ground testing. Understanding of CAE durability analysis. Knowledge of Road Load Data and Data Analysis process
Details
Experience Required:
Experience in Vehicle Program delivery, preferably from a Vehicle Engineering perspective. Good knowledge of Automotive Technologies, whole vehicle testing methodology and experience at a virtual, rig and vehicle level. Practical experience within the Vehicle Engineering function with good knowledge of whole vehicle testing at a driven and rig level. Practical experience of vehicle testing at a whole vehicle or vehicle system & rig level
Experience Preferred:
Background knowledge of Road Load data collection and analysis process. Fundamentals of structural analysis for Body and Chassis systems Understanding of System Engineering process.
Education Required:
Minimum requirement is a HND in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Education Preferred:
Honours degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
