A Chassis Launch Leader is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Castle Bromwich.

Our client is the market leader in high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.

Job Requirements
Position Description:
Chassis Launch Leader for new model programmes at Castle Bromwich, the position requires containment/resolution of launch issues by the individual where appropriate and communication of issues back to Chassis Engineering at Gaydon where resolution is not immediately deliverable from the plant based team. The engineer will be based in Birmingham for the duration of the contract, but may be required to travel to other Midlands sites as required.

Skills Required:
•Good overall Chassis system knowledge is essential
•Computer literate in Google, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project
•Valid UK driving license
•Ability to interface directly to the vehicle programme teams and represent Chassis Engineering
•Flexible, adaptable and excellent communicator, written /oral

Details
Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of OEM project delivery & change management processes including GPDS, AIMS, WERS and eFDVS. Knowledge of relevant quality tools i.e. FMEA, 8D etc.

Experience Required:
Chassis system design / development and programme management. New model launch experience. 6 sigma trained.

Experience Preferred:
OEM specific process knowledge ideally gained in product development environment with 6 sigma black belt.

Education Required:
It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to a degree level in an engineering or automotive discipline. However candidates with significant Chassis experience will also be considered.
