A Senior CAD Design Engineer is required to work for our large automotive client based in Essex.

Position Description:
Senior CAD design engineer - Engine Front End Accessory Drives

Skills Required:
CAD experience in a professional environment - CATIA v5 experience. Teamcentre experience. Excellent understanding of using OEM methods and standards. Experience and thorough understanding of OEM CAD release process. Manage interface with other system and attribute teams. Strong computer skills (excel, word etc). Good presentation skills. Interpersonal communication.

Job Requirements
Skills Preferred:
The role of the CAD Design Engineer is as follows:
•Design and develop FEAD components in Catia to support Quality, Cost, Weight and Function targets
•Conduct package studies to ensure appropriate placement of FEAD system components and required clearances are achieved
•Plan / develop / execute and release in EDM, TCE or PIM all CAD drafting / modelling / tolerance analysis work related to engine / system / component design according to drafting standards / design guides
•Operate to Global Product Development Systems (GPDS) disciplines including making accurate Integrator assessments each month and supporting with evidence or conformance plans
•Ensure adequate specifications and quality records are defined & maintained and verification conducted to prevent product nonconformity
•Provide internal / external customers with support re. Digital Buck information
•Provide CAE support to 6-Sigma project teams and the quality initiatives as requested

Details
Experience Required:
Catia V5 from any Dassault/ IBM authorised training provider. Teamcenter Engineering. Specfic Catia V5 Methods

Education Required:
Degree or equivalent
