A Hybrid Launch Leader is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Position Description:
Launch Leader - Hybrids based to start with at Gaydon supporting build at Whitley moving to full time Solihull. The Hybrid Launch Leader will be matrixed to the build / launch Managers and the Hybrid Programmes Manager. The Launch Leader is responsible for co-ordinating the Hybrid team at Gaydon to ensuring that the team achieves the build / launch objectives, acting as the single point of contact for Hybrids and first line vehicle fault diagnostics.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Ensure team priorities are established to deliver build / launch targets for Hybrid and support build / launch team meeting cadence and objectives. Management of vehicle off road issues through FMS and coordinate the resolution of AIMs to achieve targeted glide path to closure. Coordinate Change Management activities for Hybrid software / parts in support of launch objectives and AIMs resolution to ensure software / parts are available for build. Champion analysis and resolution of Hybrid PD issues impacting build / plant performance. Coordinate and support any Hybrid Vehicle reworks required and provide first line of vehicle fault diagnostics. Knowledge of whole vehicle Electrical & Powertrain systems and build / plant processes. Presentation skills and ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation. Capable of working in a reactive and pressured environment where rapid turnaround of issues is expected.

Skills Preferred:
Ability to use ASL snapshot tools (demonstrable ability to learn use of tools and IT skills essential). Ability to use CANape / CANalyser. Knowledge of AIMs. Knowledge of Quality/Problem Solving Tools (Global 8d, 6 Panel).

Experience Required:
Working as part of a build team is essential. Working as part of a plant based launch or PVT team. Front line vehicle diagnostics and previous team leadership skills are desirable.
