Position Description:
Project Engineer (Catia based CAD role) with potential to expand / develop experience. Responsible for Design and Release of Interior Trim Components for a Special Vehicles Group within a major automotive manufacturer. The role will encompass supporting meetings as and when required both internally and externally. Components covered by this role will cover the complete range of interior trim items, some of the work will involve modification and up-grades to current designs but additional scope is envisaged to cover customer requests for bespoke design solutions and first introductions for new concepts.
Skills Required:
Conversant with Catia V5 (up to release 18), Teamcentre literate. Ideally Bill of Materials WERS trained, although training can be set up for WERS releasing tasks. Capable user of Microsoft tools such Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Skills Preferred:
Will be conversant with application and use quality tools such as DFMEA`s. Capable of applying Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA) techniques and target setting, to drive CAD design. Logical thinker who is keen on innovative solution creation and able to manage your workloads to achieve a high degree of support for the team.
Education Required:
Minimum HNC/ HND qualified in a suitable discipline, previous automotive experience is core to this role.
Education Preferred:
Ideally you will be educated to Degree level or working to attain this.
