Position Description:

ALM Technician

Responsible for operation of ALM (RP) equipment and subsequent preparation of ALM parts as produced by processes including Laser Sintering, Stereolithography, Poly Jet Modelling and Fused Deposition Modelling. Experience of working with ALM processes in a prototyping environment would be a distinct advantage as would experience of working with .stl data files as used in ALM processes.
Skills Required:

Experience of ALM or conventional Model Making / Patternmaking processes. Willing to undertake practical tasks in an ALM workshop to maintain operation of ALM machines and clean-up ALM parts. Experience in using basic workshop equipment, able to clean-up ALM parts using hand tools and basic workshop equipment. Able to use workshop measuring equipment. Knowledge of computer systems / CAD able to use MS Office and email.

Skills Preferred:

Experience in use of CAD and/or specialist s/w as used in ALM processes (Magics), able to work with .stl data. Experience operating ALM equipment.
Experience Required:

Experience of ALM or conventional model making and a willingness for practical work.
