Part of a global organisation, this well established manufacturer of luxury vehicles is currently enjoying success within the market place. They have invested over 200m in new equipment and are at the forefront of modern manufacturing practices and are now looking for a Layout and Logistics Engineer to have total responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of all internal processes.
As the Logistics Engineer you will cover all aspects of materials management from receipt at plant to presentation at point of fit (excluding packaging design / manufacture).

Daily Activities include but are not limited to:
Support Problem and Countermeasure meetings for both MPandL and Production.
Support plant Safety meeting activity for MPandL and Production.
Manage site pallet repair process and specification / contract requirements with contractor.
Review / follow up Production and MPandL End of Shift (EOS report) fall down issues relating to logistics engineering.
Drive internal department Work Group board process. Manage and update all metrics relating to master schedule and scorecard objectives.
Champion MPandL site environmental requirements. Review annual objectives and targets, aspects and impacts and programmes.
The successful candidate must have a degree in electrical engineering or relevant technical discipline with experience of AutoCAD and Practical Problem Solving and Lean Logistics in a manufacturing environment.

Must have the ability to analyse data and present potential solutions.

This role is mainly a dayshift role, but may be required to work 2 shifts to support production requirements. Must be able to work additional hours at short notice.
