An Electrical Component Package Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Warwickshire.

Description
Position Description:
The successful applicant will be involved as part of a small multi-disciplined Project Team with the objective of supporting the 'Annual Process' process and pre-programmes as part of GPDS for electrical. This entails supporting studies, from an electrical perspective, of new vehicle model programmes and new technology applications prior to. Studies will involve working within the Advanced Engineering team to cover all elements of Electrical Component packaging. The Electrical APC Team is required to deliver, in conjunction with the core CoC team functional, timing, cost/benefit and attribute studies to support technical and strategic decisions.

Job Requirements
Key Component Package Engineer responsibilities include the following for all pre-programmes:
•Initial feasibility of project specific Component Package changes
•Creation of initial CAD to support Packaging meetings
•Creation of CAD file structure and population on TCE
•Identify issues and supply resolutions as required
•Support Packaging meetings in Gaydon and Whitley as required
•Support APC Electrical meetings
•Provide PL with Electrical Component Package content for Programme PPFeas
•Support PL in creation of Programme ""Handover Pack"" for handover to electrical mainstream
•Support product definition work and core EE architecture work with Advance Engineering, other CoC's & OEM core electrical design teams
•Support handover of programme from APC to mainstream Electrical between
•Support of EDS commonality strategy activities into Annual Process and Advanced Team

Details
Skills Required:
Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent open communication and organisational skills. Highly motivated with the ability to work on their own as well as within a team. A thorough understanding of OEM Packaging Tools and Processes i.e. CATIA V5, TCE, Vismockup. The use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint will be required. An understanding of OEM Electrical Engineering systems.

Experience Required:
It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to degree level in an engineering subject and will have significant experience in an engineering environment.

Education Required:
It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to degree level in an engineering subject and will have significant experience in an engineering environment.
