Position Description:

The prime responsibility will be for the environmental planning, commissioning and launch of new inline and diesel engine programs.
The responsibilities of the successful applicant include the following:

Develop new programme environmental strategies to ensure (total cost) sustainability metrics are considered in the selection of production and plant engineering machines and equipment

Facilitate a cross functional, `systems engineering` approach to identify and where possible eliminate waste in the PTO manufacturing system

Develop and implement a 7 year energy strategy that allows powertrain to meet upcoming legislative carbon emissions targets

Identification and documentation of both internal and external environmental `lessons learnt`

Develop external partnerships (e.g. Universities, NGO`s etc) to develop new opportunities

Work as part of the environmental team to specify, install and launch fluid and extraction facilities in powertrain plants
Skills Required:

A high level of motivation, initiative and creativity. Good interpersonal skills providing the ability to work with both internal team members and external partners at all levels of the organisation. Ability to prioritise tasks, manage a demanding workload. Willingness to undertake limited travel to support programme launch and issue resolution in customer plants.

Education Required:

Applicants should hold a relevant degree.
