A Human Machine Interface Technology Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based the West Midlands.

Job Requirements
Position Description:
Specialist Engineer with knowledge of Human Machine Interface technology including displays, switches, graphical interfaces, voice or other input / output technology. The role will include the management of technical deliverables to support the GTDS process in order to deliver technology into mainstream engineering.
Skills Required:
Knowledge of Human Machine Interface technology including, displays, touchscreens, switches, rotary controllers and other technology in this area is essential. Knowledge of human factors relating to the use of these technologies within the vehicle is desirable as well as experience in developing technology from initial concept & principles into a final product. Good project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as well as the ability to produce clear technical documentation is also required.

Skills Preferred:
Computer literate, enthusiastic, forward looking, lateral thinker with proven creative, research and innovation skills in the field of technology.
Experience Required:
Experience of working in the automotive industry or similar within a research or advanced product development environment.
Experience Preferred:
Familiarity with premium automotive sector, products and features and technology used in the HMI area.
Education Required:
Educated to degree level or higher in a related discipline (Electronics, Human Machine Interface, Display systems or Automotive Engineering or related Science Discipline).
