Our client is Global manufacturer and supplier of Pneumatic components, associated equipment and assemblies.

Due to rapid growth, they have an immediate requirement for a Area Manager to develop a network of Hydraulic technology distributors in the West Midlands and Wales. This region is currently supported by some of the best performing distributors yet has considerable opportunity for growth.

As such, if you feel you have the presence, background, ambition to meet and surpass the requirements below, please send your CV for consideration:

  • Fully responsible for sales growth of all Hydraulic Technologies via Distributors in the region.
  • Develop a plan that all applications/markets within the territory are served by some form of approved Distributor.
  • Develop an annual business plan with the existing and new distributors
  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
  • Clearly communicate and discuss customer requirements internally
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Ensure that key projects are documented in InfoLink and the Winvalue tools and processes are being used to ensure maximum sales value.
  • To achieve or exceed the annual sales forecast.
  • Have a strong desire to win and take advantage of a volume based incentive program.
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Self motivated, enthusiastic, disciplined, self starter, with good communication and negotiation skills and proven track record in sales growth.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • managers/executives within Parker and at designated distributors/customers.
  • Background in Engineering, Business Studies and or Marketing would be beneficial as would a good understand of the Fluid Power or equivalent markets.
  • Excellent PC skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Lotus Notes.
