Electronics Test Design Engineer
West Midlands, England
An excellent opportunity for a Test Systems Design Engineer, working in the West Midlands area for a leading aerospace supplier of electronic fuel control systems.
This role is based in the West Midlands, close to the M42 and is commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch and Warwick.
As Test Systems Design Engineer you will be required to:
- To design/develop software and hardware required for testing aerospace products.
- The work covers all aspects of test development, from software/hardware design from requirements definition, integration testing, test process validation, operator training, liaising with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- You will be expected to manage test equipment requirements for electronics and/or hydro-mechanical products at various stages of their lifecycle.
- Control of test system hardware design, internally and with external suppliers.
- Development, integration testing and control of application test software.
- Software programming skills.
- Electronics background.
- Ability to design system level test hardware, understanding of analogue/digital interface circuitry, ability to analyse circuit diagrams for function in current designs.
Candidates will need to:
- Have a flexible approach, able to analyse software and hardware problems relating to complex electronic test equipment, and production units.
- A strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively within engineering team and with external suppliers.
- Be a team player and able to work under your own initiative.
- Drive to achieve positive results.
- Test equipment design, integration test and support.
Software development experience specifically for test systems development.
