Controls Engineer

Our client is Global manufacturer and supplier of Pneumatic components, associated equipment and assemblies.
Due to rapid growth, they have an immediate requirement for a Controls Engineer
As such, if you feel you have the presence, background, ambition to meet and surpass the requirements below, please send your CV for consideration:
- Create controls system specifications, perform FMEA and DVPandR
- Develop hybrid system control strategies and software coding in Matlab/Simulink environment to ensure European compliance
- Integrate hybrid control system with other major vehicle systems such as chassis, brakes and engine
- Work with chassis OEM in developing vehicle system architectures including wire harness and electronic interfaces
- Conduct software and system verification tests
- Research control system requirements and standards for European and other markets
- Perform modeling and simulation studies to evaluate vehicle performance and fuel savings
- Must be proficient in Matlab and Simulink, and familiar with C or C++ ;
- 3+ years of vehicle control system (powertrain) software development experience using Simulink. Experience w/ transmission or hydraulic controls would be a plus
- Knowledge of on Vehicle Control System requirements and standards for Europe
- Familiar with CAN communications ( J1939 is a plus);
- Familiar with controls related electronics (including ECU s and sensors) and major vehicle components
- Good vehicle level testing experience;
- Strong hands-on skills and working proficiency in electronics and mechanics (hydraulics is a plus) including ability to debug hardware related issues.
- Strong communication and project management skills are desirable;
- Hold driving license
- Willing to travel abroad
