Automotive business involved in the manufacture of aluminium based components and assemblies with sustainable plans for growth. Well supported with investment both in equipment and people.
Your duties as a Product Supervisor will involve:
Production:
- Organising activities to achieve the plan in the production area, meeting the MPS/production requirements.
- Communicating effectively with Team such as briefing meetings, appraisals etc.
- Developing and supporting Continuous Improvement activities through team working, people and process, measuring and reporting.

Health, Safety and Environment:
- Ensuring equipment is used in a safe manner including personal protective equipment.
- Welfare of the production team, the plant and the environment.
- Assisting in accident investigation, safety audits, risk assessment, safe job analysis etc.
- Ensuring environmental procedures are adhered to.

Personell:
- Discipline and attendance management.
- Production team communication i.e. Team Meetings.
- Monitoring individual and team performance through regular training record reviews and appraisals.
- Recruitment of production team - selection / interviews / appointments.
- Induction and training of new employees.
- Identifying the training and development needs at individual and team level.
- Maintaining effective working relationships.
- Understanding of criteria for processes used in Production Department.
- A good knowledge and understanding of the automotive industry.
- A good understanding of cellular manufacturing including J.I.T, Kanban, and Continuous Improvement, 8D.
- Basic Employment Law and HSE law knowledge.
- Communication, leadership and listening skills.
- Lean Manufacturing.
- NEBSM Certificate or equivalent (NVQ etc).
- 2 year s manufacturing experience in a position of responsibility.
