Experienced Purchasing Manager required by leading Automotive Tier 1 based Midlands. As an established, successful organisation with a reputation for technically innovative products this organisation requires a talented Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for its UK purchasing and supplier development function. This is a challenging purchasing management role within a fast moving automotive environment, delivering high volume complex products to some of the largest Automotive OEMs globally.

As Purchasing Manager you will be given the opportunity to develop and shape your team. Have responsibility and accountability, locally and globally. Become a key member of the Senior Management team and head up the Purchasing function.
The overall objective of the role of Purchasing Manager will be the management of Purchasing, Supplier Development, supplier base improvements through strategic sourcing and negotiation, gaining genuine cost savings through global sourcing VAVE and improving project activities.

Ideally, you will have a proven track record within Purchasing Management in an Automotive Tier 1 environment, preferably Assembly.
Excellent people management, coaching and mentoring skills.
Robust VFM / Cost Down Analysis.
Experience of a broad range of commodities.
Both strategic and operational purchasing expertise including extensive NPI/ Program management.
