Safety and Reliability Engineer

This company is part of a recognised centre of excellence in Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions, electronics systems, lighting and high integrity harness systems. They are now looking for a Team Leader, specialising in Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering and ILS.
This role is based in Gloucestershire, close to the M5 and is commutable from Worcester, Gloucester, Swindon, Tewkesbury and Oxford.
This job role will entail:
Managing a focused team of engineers to cover the Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering and ILS aspects of the Engineering Team s commitments.
Leading the identified team to successfully deliver the UEE customer and internal commitments for the team with optimal design to quality.
Assisting the Engineering Manager with all planning activities, and the definition and co-ordination of the resources required and assigned to the project or function.
Leading the allocated team to ensure the successful delivery of all identified requirements.
Maintaining a clear and comprehensive understanding of the technical accounts for the allocated work packages in line with identified requirements.
Collaborating with other Team Leaders and the Engineering Management to ensure that an optimal solution for the project is achieved.
Proactively work to define requirements, resolve issues and deliver efficient solutions and improvements as appropriate.
Personal Requirements:
Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a suitable technical discipline.
Experience of Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering and ILS in a relevant industry.
Demonstrable leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and energise a directly reporting technical team
A customer-focused attitude and the ability to interact with senior stakeholders.
Adaptability and resilience with a positive attitude towards change.
