Our client is looking for an experience Inspection Engineer to work as part of the Competent Body within the Inspection Group Quality Manual certified by UKAS to ISO/IEC 17020 to provide plant integrity management and responsible for all inspection related activities up to the authorised level.
The successful candidate will be required to:-

Promote the highest SHE standards and demonstrates responsibility for the safety of self and others.

Provide expertise in making sound, practical, functional decisions required during the execution of work.

Compile, maintain and update an inspection schedule for all relevant items of plant and equipment within a designated area, and liaise with the area Asset Availability Team to ensure that all inspections may be carried out in accordance with the procedures and at the scheduled intervals.

Carry out all inspections within the designated authorisation, in accordance with the assigned Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) and inspection scope detail such that, following any remedial works stipulated from the examination, equipment integrity is assured when operations are maintained within the equipment design envelope.

Support the development and implementation of IG objectives that align with the Refinery objectives and the inspection function accountabilities for plant integrity assurance and continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on matters of safety, competence and training.
An appropriate knowledge of refinery materials and associated degradation mechanisms

Familiarity with (use of) relevant national regulations and national and international standards where appropriate.

Demonstrable knowledge of inspection techniques and their application, preferably supported by a technical paper or report.

High level of computer literacy including familiarity with computerised maintenance and inspection management systems.

An understanding and preferably application of, safety and value optimisation processes.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.

Ability to work closely within discipline specific and multifunctional teams recognising and balancing functional needs against area requirements.
