My client a market leading multi national utilities company require an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for a 3-6 month contract. The main function of the role is to devise, cost, quote and win single and multi-utility contestable connections and contracting projects within the companies chosen geographical area and markets.

The main requirements of the role are to: -

Prepare electrical designs and quotations for contestable utility and contracting projects.

Ensure that designs are fully compliant with host utility specifications

Incorporate customer requirements and advise on loading profiles, design layout and delivery lead times.

Contribute to zero accident culture by ensuring that designs comply with safety legislation, including CDM regulations.

To ensure provision of all necessary consents and associated drawings.

Ensure all quotations are submitted to customers agreed timescale and in strict compliance with the business’ scorecard related KPI

Carry out professional project handover to Project Manager or Construction Engineer

 

Skills Knowledge and Experience

Candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of market & pricing relating to electrical utility network

Supplier knowledge and understanding of procurement best practice and governance

Candidates should be educated to degree level in related Engineering / Design field

Technical/safety relating to electrical utility networks and construction generally

Experience of working on electrical utility networks. (33kV and above preferred).

Ensure fully costed and compliant designs are handed over in a timely way to the relevant Project Manager or Construction Engineer
