Schedule Variance Manager

£35 - 42 per hour

To support the Project Controls Manager in the management of the construction portfolio, including challenge and review of Delivery Unit programme status reports, identification of work on the critical path and produce periodic analysis and reports
Main Duties:
Identifying potential risks
Applying Earned Value techniques
Carrying out risk analysis and ensure compliance with best practice
Presenting detailed schedules, programmes and reports in a senior management forum
Challenging monthly reports from the alliance partners Collating and interpreting outputs from planning tools/reports
Undertaking project reviews to provide assurance that projects will be delivered safely to time and cost
Representing UK Construction at meetings with Alliances identifying programme issues
Strong negotiating and influencing skills
Assessing impact of change on the programme
The ability to collate information from a wide variety of contributors, challenge and review where necessary to produce an overall credible story
Knowledge of Planning tools and MS Office Suite is desirable
HV Electrical background ideal but general construction, Gas, Water or rail will be considered
Full driving licences and willingness to travel is essential.
Must be capable of working effectively within a team.
Programme Management skills to a high level Possess PowerPoint skills to a high level to present succinctly to Senior Management and external customers.
Excellent communications skills and ability to quickly develop effective working relationships.
Ability to build working relationships across all levels of the organisation
Spot and evaulate trends that are occuring with in the project
