Manufacturing/Production Engineers - CNC Machining

£25 - 30 per hour + D.O.E
A successful and expanding automotive tier 1 supplier of chassis systems based North Birmingham is growing its technical capability and winning major new business.
They are now seeking to recruit an additional 2 contract Production/ Manufacturing Engineers to join their machining and assembly sections.
You will be responsible for maximising efficiency of a machining or assembly section. This will include cycle time analysis (MTM), designing and spec of tools, fixtures, visual aids, process FMEA.
You will already have experience in a similar role within the automotive industry or perhaps be a specialist for a machine tool company, and be interested in joining a large blue chip organisation.
Role Requirements
* Excellent metal cutting expertise on CNC machining centres (Chiron + Siemens control ideally)
* Good cutting tool expertise
* Good Fixturing and Clamping experience
* Good understanding of Geometrical Tolerances
* Good gauging experience
* Has worked on PFMEAs
* Has produced process documentation
* Prepared to be Hands On (Not a desk engineer)
Desirable Attributes:
* Some assembly experience
* Good communication/project experience
* Ability to also lead small projects and/or work unsupervised to a
standard project management process
