Production Engineer
Basildon, Essex, England
The Powertrain Operations Team of a leading OEM require a Production Engineer to work within their Manufacturing Engineering Group based in Essex.
As the Production Engineer your responsibilities will include:
Support simultaneous engineering teams to drive cost reductions and continuous improvement and flexibility in manufacturing tools and processes.
Develop manufacturing processes that ensure all CPEM and FTEP principles are considered and implemented>br>
Implement manufacturing systems that meet or exceed all national / local health and safety and ergonomic rules and regulations
Support installation, commissioning and production launch at customer plants.
Manage the development of project facilities to support program delivery schedules.
Drive continuous improvements in investment efficiency within engine programs.
Support cross-functional teams toward the improvement of equipment reliability and maintainability based on historical data.
Provide assistance to customer plants as required to support volume and quality improvement initiatives.
Prepare program estimates
Conduct ergonomic analysis and support productivity and simulation requirements.
Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.
The successful Production Engineer must hold an engineering or related degree with demonstrable effective leadership behaviors.
The successful candidate will have experience in a manufacturing or related activity and will possess the following skills:
An understanding of machining processes, tooling, gauging.
