Demand from UK and Mainland European car manufacturers continues to grow and this has created an opportunity for an experienced and talented Design Engineer to join the team based in Dundee.

This role will appeal to a creative and inventive Design Engineer who is looking for a technical challenge. Working with Electronics, Electrical and Systems Engineers, the task will be to design complex battery and associated control systems, packaging them in a variety of vehicles ranging from passenger cars to high performance sports cars. Each design is bespoke, bringing with it different challenges and you may find yourself working on several projects at differing stages of development.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent background in electrical module design and have good knowledge of sheet metal and plastic injection mouldings design and have experience in new product development. This may have been gained the Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Subsea or general electronics industries utilising ProEngineer CAD, with experience of Windchill PDMLink 9.1 being an advantage. It would also be useful for candidates to have Finite Element Analysis skills with an understanding of structural analysis. A Degree or similar qualification would be useful but relevant experience is most important.
