Quality Assurance Engineer

Main Duties
Will be responsible for ensuring NPI is performed in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO13485 requirements.
Implementing and sustaining control and repeatability to internal processes and maximising efficiencies within the manufacturing process.
Providing technical engineering support for bespoke manufactured products.
Encouraging and motivating people to continually improve the business.



Job description
The role will include dealing with internal / external quality issues, introducing corrective/preventive actions to stop recurrence.
Monitoring of current manufacturing processes via auditing, highlighting issues and introducing change as part of continuous improvement activities.
Controlling NPI and technical files for electronic and mechanical components and devices including SQA.
Ensuring product is manufactured to the required quality standards and correcting any issues.
Trend analysis and data recording to identify and resolve quality issues.
Manage the corrective and preventive action process, co-ordinating root causes and corrective actions for both in-house and customer returns and complaints.
Be a key supplier point of contact for developing and introducing new products and components within the company
Working with senior management and operators for day to day issues and reporting of KPI's looking to improve the efficiencies within the business


Key skills and experience
Minimum HNC qualification within electronics or mechanical design.
Proven experience as a Quality / Process Engineer within the Aerospace, Automotive, Medical or Electronics industry.
Evidence of working in a fast moving high volume manufacturing environment.
Versatility and enthusiasm for Quality, should have previous experience of ISO9001 and ideally ISO13485.
Proven experience in lean manufacturing, design and process FMEA / Risk assessments, supply chain development, Kaizen and 5s programs.
