Leading Global Aerospace Systems supplier seeks Commodity Manager - Bought Out Finished Goods. This organisation provide Primary Flight Controls, Thrust Reverser Actuation and High Lift Systems, to the world`s major civil and military aircraft constructors.
As Commodity Manager you will lead Bought Out Finished (BOF) sourcing activities including contract negotiations and supplier management. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies that meet program and operations requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

Working with Programmes and Operations Management on supplier management and development.
Specific activities include: quoting, negotiating and initial procurements through to high production rates. Responsible for meeting quality, cost and delivery targets. Develop local sourcing strategies for BOF. Negotiate appropriate, new sources/second sources.
Person Specification

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with commercial acumen including negotiating and contracting skill.

Qualifications include :
Possession of an MBA an advantage
Must have strong strategic, contractual and commercial skills Must possess Computer skills, knowledge of MRP and supply chain initiatives.
Contract negotiation experience is essential.
Specialised knowledge of UK and USA Government Contract Conditions would be an advantage.
Strong work discipline is key to this role.
Effective communicator.
Technical knowledge/Engineering background an advantage. Excellent time management/prioritisation.
