Skilled CNC Machinist
Northamptonshire, England
Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Skilled CNC Machinist initially up to the end of 2011.
Reporting to the Product Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to produce components to the high standards required in order to support programme demands.
The individual will also be required to report to the Product Team Leader on a daily basis to understand business requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship minimum 4 years
- 5 to10 years experience operating Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems on 4 and 5 axis machining centres.
- Must be able to quickly adapt to a strong team working environment and demonstrate high levels of initiative and quality of work.
- Must be flexible with working hours and prepared to work on a shift rota as required.
- Good communication is required at all times and any concerns must be escalated to Product Team Leader immediately.
- Enthusiastic and reliable
- Technical ability with a high quality of work
Desirable Attributes:
- Fanuc/Heidenhain CNC programming experience
- ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering
- Initiative and Leadership
