Under Bonnet/Body Visualisation Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
An Under bonnet Visualisation Engineer is needed to support Under bonnet, under body appearance attribute programmes, for specific new and existing vehicle programmes.
Take responsibility for development of the under bonnet and under body appearance attribute: i.e. develop & set targets,
Develop the vehicle concept with Design, Perceived Quality and Optical Quality, ensure adherence to relevant standards, lead problem resolution and validate delivery throughout the vehicle design & development process.
Report status using formal documentation and act as the attribute single point of contact for the programme team.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Sound understanding of engineering design principles and packaging in the automotive arena.
Must have good organisational skill and good presentation skill.
Clear and concise communicator.
Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.
Proven ability to manage workload and deliver to short timescales & deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised within the local team and interfacing across business functions.


Experience Required:
Must have proven experience in problem resolution, Interpreting vehicle packaging CAD data, Interpretation of Quality manuals and standards.

Details
Experience Preferred:
Familiarity of Packaging of Powertrain, automotive harnesses and chassis items would be a benefit. Competitor research/benchmarking (physical & web-based).

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a related discipline.

Additional Information:
This role is based at Gaydon, but will also require frequent working at Whitley.
