Position Description:
Vehicle Safety Delivery Engineer
The position is to deliver the agreed vehicle safety targets for a major new product. The role requires the applicant to integrate the activities of design, package, occupant restraints, BIW and other component groups to deliver safety performance. The role also includes planning and analysis of tests.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
•Engineering development skills
•Mechanical and data analysis skills
•Applicants must be familiar with vehicle safety integration and testing activity
•The applicant must be familiar with all aspects of vehicle architecture, legal and consumer safety standards
•The applicant must be able to critique system and component design and CAE model output
Skills Preferred:
Safety specialism’s relating to frontal / side / rear / roll / pedestrian impact.
Details
Experience Required:
Vehicle safety engineering and development.
Experience Preferred:
Familiar with Crash CAE, test protocols, test laboratories.
Education Required:
Mechanical, Physics or Engineering Maths degree or equivalent.
Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
