Principal Product Engineer (BIW Closures)

Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
*Lead the development of B/W closures of a new vehicle variant from clay model feasibility to concept release. Including concept layout for bonnet, side doors and tailgate, material selection, packaging and exterior surface development, DFMEA, DVP.
*Manage cross functional design reviews to solve critical project issues
*Generate internal project timing and resource plans
*Interface with customer
*Degree qualified or similar qualification minimum
*Strong numeracy and literacy skills
*Manage team of engineers
*Minimum of 10 years automotive experience essential
*Understand roles and needs of different client groups
*Ensure procedures and quality standards are clearly communicated and implemented
*Capable of defining, developing and managing a project autonomously
*Like to be chartered engineer
