Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer of BIW components and sunroof assemblies.

As Materials Analyst you would be responsible for formulating and issuing supplier schedules, using the IFS system, controlling the Inventory levels and fully ensuring continuity of supply to the shop floor. Additional responsibilities will include close monitoring of the supply base in adhering to agreed delivery dates without the need for additional transportation costs. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills and have the confidence to establish good working relationships with both customers, suppliers and on site personnel.

Knowledge / Skills and Experience Required:

You must be able to demonstrate, by providing examples, relevant practical experience of material planning in a first tier automotive environment, ideally in a low mix/ high volume environment, be customer orientated, a self-starter with extensive knowledge of modern lean manufacturing techniques and their application in a supply chain environment. You must also be able to demonstrate, by providing examples, relevant practical experience of dealing with an ERP system. You must also have an aptitude for figure work and be computer literate.
Experience and capability to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of existing KPI s and to further develop where required.
