Maintainence Technician - 3000

We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician initially on a 3-month contract based in Peterborough.
As Maintenance Technician you will be working within the maintenance and test team, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance within Bay 27, covering breakdowns, TPM, Continuous Improvement Work and ongoing maintenance improvements and installations.
- To be able to fault find on electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
- Able to integrate into an established team and work in a team based environment
- To work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
- To liaise with the manufacturing, engineering and quality departments to ensure smooth role out of new products and initiatives.
- Managing your own projects within your area of responsibility.
- Must work well in a team environment and on own initiative.
- This role covers 3-shift rotation system and weekend work.
- PLC knowledge is preferable.
- 17th edition wiring regulation qualified (preferred)

Qualifications:Applicants should be NVQ Level 3/Time served apprentice, be able to integrate into an established team and work in a team based environment and be pro-active with their work. Applicants should also possess good communication skills and have an organised approach to work with the ability to maintain appropriate records.
Experience of Shift working is essential along with:
* Word , Excel, CAD 2D/3D experience desirable
* FLT, Cherry Picker licence would be an advantage but not essential.
* Ideally posses logical way of fault finding
* Ability to maintain records as required
