This leading 1st Tier Automotive supplier is involved in the manufacture of hydrodynamic transmission units (gearboxes) for off-road applications, mainly in the building and agricultural industries.

As Master Scheduler you will develop and manage a master scheduling process for a product group which is innovative and promotes maximisation of efficiency and optimisation of resources/assets internally while retaining enough flexibility to ensure that all customer needs are met in a timely and cost-conscious manner.

You will fix customer demand for a current plus 4 month period, construct deliveries and build plan taking into account demonstrated capacity/constraints, plan safety stocks in line with MPS procedure, flexible customer freeze periods, create a smooth build plan considering both customer and supply chain, fix Sales Operations Planning monthly and communicate short-term demand weekly in the Master Production Schedule. In addition, you will prepare weekly PRP taking into account build arrears and customer demand, run daily IPT meetings to maintain plan integrity and communicate real time issues, liaise frequently with customers via calls and emails in a proactive manner, meet with customers annually or as required, run weekly MPS meetings, present updated sales, build and 0-4 months, communicate changes to plan and be responsible for
SandOP data - Local and Global data. You will also develop a valid production plan and an achievable master schedule for the business unit, develop and distribute the measurements and reports necessary to monitor progress towards goals and provide a feedback loop through which decisions can be made regarding short-term scheduling.

You must have in-depth knowledge of manufacturing and manufacturing supply chains, a working understanding of Assembly plant operations and an understanding of demonstrated capacity/organisation constraints. You must also have commercial integrity and personal integrity and be able to act on your own initiative and be comfortable making decisions. You will need good time management skills, be relaxed and effective under pressure, have excellent telephone manner combined with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills and will need to be computer literate with regard to Microsoft Office, Excel and Cognos and prior AS400 experience excel.
