Fatigue Engineer (High Cycle Fatigue)

£27k - 40k per year + Bonus
Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.
Due to growth plans a position of Fatigue Engineer has become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below
- Support new product introduction and rapid problem solving process
- To develop and maintain testing specifications and design standards related to High Cycle Fatigue
- Present and interpret analysis test data to internal/external customers.
- To work in functional and cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality and integrity of analysis and testing.
- To liaise with reliability group to understand the relationship between predicted and actual failure rates in the field
- Understanding of failure methods and material behaviour
- Experience in engine testing procedures.
- Knowledge of Ansys and CFX software would be an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in fatigue life prediction and/or structural integrity analysis.
- Masters/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (specialisation in Fatigue and stress analysis preferred)
