Mechanical Design Engineer

Our Client area a leading company in the manufacture of electronic facia instruments for major OEMs. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support production on the site based in Worcestershire.
To specify and design product specific tooling for all aspects of production processes including; soldering pallets, conformal coating pallets, manual assembly fixtures, vibration welding tooling and punch tooling.
Skills and Experience:
Ability to work as part of a team
Able to understand technical requirements from engineers and translate into drawings and specifications for tool makers.
Ability to work in a 3D CAD environment to produce concept visualisations and CAD/CAM data and drawings for use by toolmakers.
In depth understanding of machining techniques and materials science to ensure solutions are economically producible and robust.
Good level of written and verbal communication and able to communicate at all levels in the organisation.
Education/Qualifications:
BTEC OND/HND in engineering / Time served apprenticeship
Engineering Degree,
