Our client is a leading automotive manufacturer. As Interior Trim Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for leading and steering the delivery of logistic activities and targets for the wood shop, assessing and responding to key issues in order to bring focus to their resolution or improvement. The role is 50% team leading and 50% doing and you must be able to undertake evaluation studies and take logistics responsibility for implementation of new models and model year enhancements.

To recruit, train and develop staff. To provide the department with a skilled and motivated workforce capable of adapting to meet the needs of the business. You will define, implement and review internal and external targets, measure the performance of processes and instigate improvements. You will also be responsible for order management - you will analyse and translate. You will undertake demand requirements (take rates, regulation programme, vehicle orders) and provide a production plan for the wood shop that will allow supply to meet vehicle build requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for production control to create, schedule, communicate and expedite production orders and documentation (JIT Calls, route cards and bespoke details) and ensure on time and accurate scheduling of production in the wood shop and support production requirements of sub-suppliers and vehicle assembly.

You will have 5 years minimum experience of production control, material planning and inventory control in an automotive environment, knowledge of sub-assembly and major production area processes (lead-times, processes and capabilities), knowledge of order management systems, and order management systems and a high working knowledge of SAP you will be a key user for the department.
