Mechanical Design Engineer - 3924

£32k - 42k per year + Bonus
My client a global market leader based in the Midlands
The business is undergoing significant investment in manufacturing processes and office facilities.

Key Duties
Mechanical design of harnesses and packaging of electrical components for engine structures.
Working directly with the engine architect to identify space claims
Working with suppliers to develop harnesses and associated brackets
Conducting FMEA on components and systems to identify and address design risks and determine validation needs.
Working with the validation team to plan and execute validation tests.
Conducting component and system design reviews for the business to selected components, designs and suppliers.
Skills and Experience
-Candidates should be educated to Degree level in Mechanical Engineering discipline or relevant experience
-Should have strong knowledge of Pro Engineer software
-Prior experience of Engine Design, ideally with knowledge of Engine Harness design
-Strong understanding of component design or validation
-Candidates should have experience of writing technical document / requirements / test plans
- Experience of running and participating in FMEA
