Our client is a leading manufacturer of industrial diesel engines. The business has seen significant growth over the past few years and is looking to strengthen its Site Purchasing team with the recruitment of a Purchasing Analyst. A key part of the Purchasing Analyst s job will be to work with the Buyers to track and report cost reduction and price increases and to maintain the purchasing databases and systems. The role will also involve the preparation of reports and the reconciliation of data integrity issues. Joining a team of 9, this position will be based in Stafford and will support the Site Purchasing Team.

The Purchasing Analyst works closely with the Buyers in the Site Purchasing Team and the Site Cost Reduction team. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the cost reduction tracking database (CRACT) for the site. This includes frequent interaction with the Site Purchasing Buyers and Cost Reduction Process Manager at Stafford. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and updating of site cost plan and global material cost tracking database (GMCT), assisting the Buyers with support for various purchasing systems including the global purchasing system (Lognet), MFG PRO and request for tooling, supplier addition and invoicing. Additionally, you will be responsible for the resolution of data integrity issues across purchasing systems and the creation of a number of reports for the Purchasing Team including monthly cost reports, updating site common goals etc.
You must have familiarity with using MFG PRO Systems and other purchasing systems and expertise with Microsoft

Excel, PowerPoint and Access is also required. Experience is preferred in purchasing, logistics or manufacturing and the position requires an undergraduate degree from a college or university or equivalent experience. Additionally, you must be able to analyse and deal with data and have analytical and problem solving skills. You must also be an effective communicator, in written and oral form.
