Our client is a manufacturer of automotive body parts for many of the world`s leading vehicle producers. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is to view the supply chain as a single entity dedicated to the efficient flow of goods and services, with the target of 100% customer satisfaction, eliminating waste and reducing the total acquisition cost. As Material Planning and Logistics Manager you will be responsible in the plant for the development, generation and implementation of supply chain strategy, common work instructions, policies and procedures across the local supply chain teams.

The Material Planning and Logistics Manager will be responsible for providing a highly professional service to the business which will incorporate efficient departmental management and a strategic drive to exceed customer expectations and deliver best in class performance.

This is a high profile role as it presents the day to day face of the business to the customer as well as being key to the successful running and development of the business. You must be an experienced Supply Chain Professional with strong ERP experience and sound evidence of previous improvements within your responsibility, must demonstrate a high level of understanding of the business needs, with an exceptional ability to manage the day to day work whilst having a passion for driving improvements. Supplier development is also a key deliverable and a demonstrable record of improving this to world class standards will be needed. You will also have the ability to clearly articulate and work with your peers to deliver best practice across the department.
