Part of a major global aerospace group, engineering mechanical aerospace systems, our client now has an opportunity for a Value Analysis/Value Engineer to plan and co-ordinate engineering activities to develop and apply standardised design criteria and production requirements for parts and equipment used in the company`s products.

Looking for Cost engineers, Process engineers, Technical procurement engineers, Value engineers, Manufacturing engineers or Supply chain engineers

You will be responsible for the development, analysis, review, and sign-off of material estimates, analysing program requirements, preparing requests for supplier quotes and developing costs for detailed Bills of Materials. You will also be responsible for the coordination with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials and Logistics to enable sourcing decisions and subsequent secure deliveries. You will present
material estimate data to management, perform special assignments when required and provide manufacturing technical support to procurement and the suppliers of the purchased materials and finished parts.

You will preferably be educated to degree or equivalent level and have VA/VE experience, procurement of machined components experience, manufacturing and precision engineering experience together with proven problem solving training and experience. You must also have good written and verbal communication skills, project planning experience and excellent computer skills (Word, MS Project, Excel, PP, Outlook, MRP/ERP systems). Additionally, you will need commercial awareness. Cost accounting and low cost supplier experience is desirable but not mandatory, however, you must be able to interface with Engineering to resolve problems related to Bill of Material requirements and must also be able to interface with Supplier Management to resolve procurement requirements.
