Robot Programmer - Welding

A successful and expanding automotive tier 1 supplier of suspension and steering components is growing its technical capability and winning major new business.
They currently have an ongoing contract requirement for a specialist Robotic Programmer with experience of welding is required to improve the stability of an existing station as well as bring a new station on line.
The stations are ABB controlled MIGs (butt and fillet). You will programme for non-collision, clamping pressures, weld times, head movements, weld rod feed etc.
Note you will work in conjunction with the Welding Institute to improve the integrity of welds, but your expertise will be on the process control and programming.
Role Requirements:
- Experience of robotic control/programming for welding applications is essential (ideally ABB but will cross train)
