Williams Hybrid Power are developing electric flywheel energy storage technology for mobile, hybrid and electric vehicle applications and are now looking for a full time Project Development Engineer to become an integral member of the team and be tasked with design and development of efficient and robust motors, motor drives, and control systems for customer programs.
The Project Development Engineer will be required to lead multiple customer-focused projects taking responsibility for ensuring validation of interface of energy storage device with customer systems.
Coordinating with design and engaging in development and ultimately ensuring that projects are delivered successfully.
Working closely with the Project Manager you will be actively engaged in engineering development work including the design of experiments to ensure the product is functioning to customer requirements.
The role may require travel to customer sites to ensure correct implementation of product to customer`s satisfaction.
As the Project Development Engineer you will possess an engineering degree (Electrical/Mechatronics) and have proven experience of engineering project delivery ideally within a high technology, engineering focused company.
Knowledge of Motor Drives and power electronics is advantageous.
Design of controls/supervisory systems such as MATLAB/Simulink and/or LabVIEW is desirable as is C++ computer programming capability.
