Catia V5 Engineer - Upper Structure
Commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester
Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
They are currently seeking to recruit a Catia V5 Engineer for Upper Structures on a 6 month contract basis.
The individual will be based within the Body and Closures Engineering Department at the main site in Warwickshire. Reporting to Principal and Senior Engineers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Feasibility and detail layout design (3D Modelling) engineering of body components
* Maintaining master section book
* Development of concepts to solve issues prior to engineering release
* Performing DMU checks using Catia
* Release parts into PLM system.
All design work carried out on Catia V5 release 19.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree qualified or similar qualification
* Minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.
* Strong numeracy and literacy
* Capable of leading a project element with support from more senior staff when necessary
* Good logical reasoning.
* Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service
* Demonstrate depth of knowledge in a relevant technical specialty
* Already be Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
