Lead Engineer - Aerostructures System Design and Integration
Winchester, Eastleigh, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Fareham
The Lead Engineer - Aerostructures System Design and Integration will provide technical co-ordination and systems integration for the Airbus wing development program. In this role, you will lead complex technical programs, flow-down technical requirements, manage functional and physical interfaces and integrate engineering activities between the airframe manufacturer, systems suppliers and across packages in the wing development team.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Lead and provide guidance for assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures, and the product / program requirements
* Establish and communicate technical requirements to the integrated design teams and drive engineering execution of projects in assigned focus area
* Provide integration between multiple component teams
* Provide overall systems integration for the assigned program including functional interfaces
* Identify need for technical and program reviews within the organisation - lead and / or participate as a reviewer
* Monitor and communicate project status and business issues to stakeholders
* Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Systems Engineering or similar level of knowledge and experience.
You will have demonstrable experience in a design engineering position with experience as a technical lead on design work.
