Test rig mechanical design engineer required to work as part of existing design team within the Structural Rig Test area of Product Development. The role includes the design and detailing of rig components, fixtures and full test rigs in support of the structural endurance testing requirements of products, components, assemblies and full vehicle.

Skills Required:
Competent user of Catia V5 and Team Centre (OEM approved training desirable but not essential). Proficient at creating 2D engineering drawings from 3D models within Catia V5 environment, including assembly drawings and BOM. Experience of working as a mechanical design engineer, ideally within a testing environment.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of both electro-hydraulic and pneumatic testing systems would be an advantage. Experience of testing methodologies within an automotive environment. Proven problem solving ability.

Experience Required:
Mechanical design experience using Catia V5 and Team Centre.

Education Required:
Catia V5 and Team Centre training. Engineering degree preferred but not essential.

Additional Information:
Based at Gaydon. Possible travel to Whitley required.
