Design Engineers

Our client acquires, develops and applies new ideas and improved components to support their customer's products. They also offer design, development, manufacture and software services and products to the aerospace, space, energy and transport industries.
As Design Engineer your main responsibilities will be:
- Carry out assigned tasks on time, to the required quality and within budget
- Liaise with other departments/groups to achieve project objectives
- Component ownership and control of tasks including spend and identifying need for budget/contract revisions.
- Direct contact with customers, partners and suppliers
- Formal and informal presentations to internal and external customers
- Writing reports and proposals
The ideal person will have a good mechanical or aerospace engineering degree as well as:-
- Good understand and application of engineering principles and manufacturing techniques
- Technical experience of :
- solid mechanics and dynamics
- metallic materials design and selection
- manufacturing environment and technology
- conceptual layout
- externals
- and rotating machinery
