Safety Development Technician
Commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester
£18 per hour
Due to an increase in workload, a new 3-6 month contract opportunity has arisen for a Safety Development Technician, to work as part of a dedicated test team setting up Crash/Impact tests within Safety Development
Reporting to the Laboratory Test Supervisor /Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for the following:
* Installing and preparing test rigs , customers parts refit, and full vehicle preparation (draining, ballasting, painting)
* Fit transducers for gathering data
* Setting up data acquisition equipment/ mechanical fitting
* Fulfil maintenance HandS schedules and housekeeping.
Appropriate training for a suitable candidate can be given.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
* City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ
* Mechanical/Electrical Vehicle fitting - Automotive or similar
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES:
* Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Qualifications
* Fork lift truck driving and Welding certification (non-essentials)
* Mechanical/Instrumentation and Data Acquisition
