Subsection Manager - Aerostructures Systems Design and Integration
Winchester, Eastleigh, Portsmouth, Salisbury, Fareham
Essential Responsibilities : - Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks and personnel
- Provide support council and recommendations to section management
- Establish work group goals within framework of section technical and financial objectives
- Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs
- Facilitate communication of technical and business information between internal customers, external customers, and within the team
- Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource and personnel issues
- Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel
- Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning
- Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and counseling
- Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within work group
Qualifications/Requirements : - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Systems Engineering or similar level of knowledge and experience
- Significant experience in a leadership role in the aviation industry
- Prior experience in an engineering program or project leadership role
- Knowledgeable of aviation systems development practices.
- Experience working in an integrated product development team environment
